DO NOT REFRIGERATE
Store your icing sheets in a plastic sealed bag to prevent them from drying out.
Icing sheets may be printed in advance and stored in a sealed bag. Do not refrigerate. Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
To use:
Once your image is ready to print, remove the icing sheet from the sealed bag and place it frosting side up in the rear paper tray of your printer. After printing your image, allow to dry completely.
Carefully remove the icing sheet from the backing. Holding the icing sheet at the edges, let the sheet sag slightly in the middle and place the image on a freshly iced cake (or lightly mist your icing with water), placing the middle of the icing sheet on the cake first. Center your image and then lower the rest of the sheet until the entire sheet is on the cake surface. For bubbles or bumps, gently smooth the icing sheet with your fingers starting in the center and working your way out to the edges.
Let the image sit for about 20 minutes before cutting to ensure proper bonding of the icing sheet to the cake.
Our icing sheets cut easily, freeze well (uncovered) and will stay fresh and pliable in their resealable packages. They should be stored in their original packaging and removed just prior to use.
Helpful Hints:
Weather conditions, especially humidity, can effect icing sheets and make them harder to remove from the backing. If you have difficulty removing the icing sheet from the backing, try either heating with a hairdryer (warm setting) for 2 minutes, or placing the icing sheet in the freezer for up to 45 seconds. Remove by pulling the backing page across the edge of a table.
